How I can clean an unfinished mahogany guitar?
I have a DV-4 acoustic guitar Guild, and I would like for polishing / cleaning. It is all Solid wood, especially mahogany with a spruce top. It is the lair of a very fine protective finish on it, but for most of the wood is exposed. How Mahogany is cleaned to remove the longer the guitar?
You can have a DV4 with a satin finish instead of glossy finish that is normally seen in acoustics. If bare wood is that you do not want any water on it. If you go to the center of the house, there will be a lemon wood cleaner oil to be used with restraint in a soft cloth. Linseed oil or tung is a wonderful protector, but leaves a finish on your own and can transfer to your clothing. If you decide to use seed flax oil, it's every day for a week, every week for a month every month for a year and every year forever. Flaxseed oil and cloth Cotton should not be left at home ….. fire risk is great.
