i want to get an acoustic electric guitar for under $1000. i have no idea whats good and whats not. help?
i have never played guitar before and my friend has an acoustic that not very good. so i don’t really want to take her advise. my other friends play electric guitar and i haven’t really heard there guitars. i need help. brand names, price, anything.
If you have never played before I would not suggest giving even close to a grand for any guitar. I do not kow if you have an ear for tone or innotation either. If you are looking to buy a good acoustic-electric, your best option is to go to a reputable local music shop tell them what you want to buy but dont give them a price of 1000 by no means since you could buy a Epiphone PR-5E for about 350 bucks. They will get you set up with a good guitar for a beginer.
Once you have practiced your chops abit and are still interested in playing after a year I then would recommend you keep playing that same guitar. I have ben playing for 17 yrs and love my Alvarez CY128CE, these run about 1000-1300 but I like the classical styling of this guitar. Anyway dont spent allot of cash untill you know what sound and style you like after you play for awhile. happy picking!!!
