Why, in your own opinion, do you think Randy Orton finally snapped on Raw?
(And yes, I know wrestling is scripted, so stop making me look as if I don’t know that!)
I think his rage stems back from SummerSlam ‘04. Yes, he won the World Heavyweight title from Chris Benoit, and instead of a celebration with his boys in Evolution, he got electric chaired (courtesy of Batista) and then a beatdown from all 3 of his former stablemates.
Pretty tough for someone who just won himself a HUGE piece of gold…but hey, it was bound to happen. And he lost the belt in a month right after that.
I think he finally snapped because he probably remembered how he had been cheated out of so much already–the WWE Championship was the last straw for him. He wanted to taste gold again, and fell short of the prize…and in turn, went ballistic beyond repair.
orton snapped because he felt like he was robbed. besides that, vince told him to prove that he wanted the title shot, so he did the best way he knew how: ruthless aggression. besides that, he was prolly ticked that after beating real champs like hbk and rvd he got taken down by a minor leaguer like cena.
