5 reasons why electric RC helicopters are so attractive
RC helicopters capture people's interest since its inception for the first time. Highlights as one of the world's most fascinating fields of RC hobby. Few can resist its charm. However, not long ago that also carried a heavy price and requires more maintenance than a car ten years old. To make matters worse, flying one hour requires a number of practice and tremendous amount of patience. No But all that is about to change. With the introduction of electric RC helicopters, flying these amazing models are not as crazy as they used to be. Here are five reasons:
1.Low Cost:
Flying RC helicopter used to set people back thousands of dollars. People had to buy the helicopter kit (which comes in hundred small pieces – unassembled), servos, motor, initial spin, receiver, radio controller, a hundred other equipment, and, of course – fuel. When everything has been bought, still have to ride!
On the other hand, electric helicopters almost always cost less than 200 dollars with cheaper but better versions coming out regularly. Even better, most of these helicopters come ready to fly out of the box. Besides, all equipment and accessories often come included. Finally, by using batteries, the cost of operating these helicopters is very small, as they no longer need to buy gallons after gallons of gasoline.
2.Silent and Cleaning:
RC helicopters could be among the most fascinating radio controlled models, however, an undeniable fact still stands against it, make more noise and create more pollution than a truck breakdown. This makes flying around the neighborhood almost impossible.
The problem of noise, pollution and the size is almost completely eliminated with electric models, the amount noise decreased significantly, whereas the amount of pollution vanished altogether. These two facts allow these machines to fly anywhere without cause too much trouble to others.
3.Reliable and easy to fly:
With gas helicopters, countless crashes occur not because to pilot error, but because the engine is not in the air. Who is to blame? After all, everyone knows that gas engines are not as reliable in the world. Also notoriously require constant tinkering to run smoothly. On the other hand, electric helicopters flying undeniably more reliable. Almost never cut into the air, even when the battery is depleted. Moreover, you can forget about having to raise the engine over and over. These electric motors will run on any time anywhere, as long as there is no battery. There is nothing more frustrating than having your helicopter to the field only to find that it starts because it is too cold, too wet, or simply because the engine wants to act up.
Electric helicopters are generally easier to fly than gas models, making it ideal for beginners. Some model allows beginners start with only 2 or 3 channels to worry about who oppose to 6 or 7 that the gas model requires. Avid pilots will not have to worry, however, as professional 3D-capable electric models also exist.
4.Easy to maintain:
Maintenance used to be one of the biggest hurdles for anyone wanting to start flying RC helicopters. Fortunately, electric RC helicopters tremendously decreased the amount of repairs required. These little wonders were specifically designed to keep the amount needed to fix a minimum. Therefore, repairs usually can be done with only bare hands or with a single screwdriver. Even more impressive is the fact that this type of helicopter rarely need repairing at all. They can survive most types of accidents without any problem.
5.Small Size:
Before helicopters Electric, internal flights and flights in your own backyard were next to impossible. Now, they are quick and easy. The new versions are so small that even fly in the bedroom is possible. The smaller size of these helicopters means that it is easier to transport as well.
