The sound effects of the electric guitar

When the electric guitar was originally created in the 1930's, the main intention was simply create an instrument that can be heard more of the jazz bands ever larger. It is doubtful that the inventors of the instrument could never have imagined the uses to that their creation would someday. The modern electric guitar is a source of a seemingly endless series of tones, hues and sounds. Artists have pushed the limits of the instrument in an attempt to find new and innovative sounds, and continue to do so. The sounds of the electric guitar has become an art form in and of themselves ourselves, so much so that specific devices have been invented to create them. These devices are known as guitar effects, and change the pitch, tone and sound electric guitar to help create the sounds that define some genres of modern music.

It would be almost impossible to cover the wide range of effects used by electric guitars, so that only the most used will be covered by it. A very popular group of effects is related to the effects of distortion. Such effects are caused by distortion pedals, which distort, or "clip" waveform of the guitar signal. The distorting effects of divided into four main subcategories: overdrive / distortion, overdrive / crunch, fuzz and high gain. Looping involves recording a phrase or passage and then accompanies the passage, as the repetitions. This technique involves the use of extremely long delays. Finally, reverberation refers to the persistence of sound in a particular area, then that the original sound is gone. In essence, this is a large and extended the echoes.

Modulation-related effects include several devices, including the rotary speaker, rotary speaker simulator, the vibrato pedal, the phase shifter and the flanger. The rotary speaker and its simulator offer something known as effect Doppler, which is a change in the frequency of a wave and the wavelength.
