How I can bring some relief in the neck Gutar this trussrod?
I have many years of experience working on guitars. I'm usually an adjustment rod very good armor as I understand fully the role of the truss rod and generally as a bit of relief in my pitches to get the sraight neck with the strings on the pitch, then back the nut a quarter turn is usually sufficient to bring some relief in the neck. I am currently working in Jackson that has a perfectly straight neck. I completely loosened so far trussrod nut is out completely, and the neck is still straight with no relief from the ropes tightly tuned cast. Why your neck is not pulled into a slight slope by ropes. I have been told to try a heavier gauge string, but even going to ten, it has not worked. I never ran across any neck did not allow the strings to pull a bow in the neck when the trussrod is completely loose. How I can bring some relief in the neck with this trussrod neck is loose and go straight? What's happening?
I had that experience recently with a Guild jumbo acoustic guitar. Finally, some relief developed in the neck – but it took a couple of days rigidity. Therefore, it could be that the neck (maple hard rock?), is tough enough in itself. When you wrote "even going to dozens" I smiled to myself because as a jazz musician, 10 remain being very light. 11 may have the neck to move a little, but you never know.
