Dual Bass
How do I wire two Amps to push one dual voice coil subwoofer?
I have two MONO Amps, and I would like to use them to push one SubWoofer, I just don’t know how i need to wire them to get the best Bass respond.
Run a separate speaker cable from each amp directly to one voice coil and match the connections plus to plus and minus to minus. If you wire one of the coils backwards the woofer will barely move but will get hot. If you wire them both backards it will work okay but the phase will be mismatched between the woofer and the other speakers which will cause the sound balance to be inconsistent as you move around the room.
