what are the best sounding drums i can buy?
im curious on what the best wood for a drum shell would be (birch, maple, ash, etc). im wantin a good quailty sound, and somethin that looks great to. and i want the best soundin brand of drums to (dw, gretch, yamaha, etc.) and if you know of any great deals on a good set drums then please let me know?
answering a question about “what is the best” is hard to do. in the end, it all comes down to personal prefference. different woods give different sounds, not “better” or “worse” sounds, just different. personally, i prefer maple or birch to anything else. some people love mohogany, some people love ashwood. same goes for the brand of drums. every brand has a great top-line drumset, so its hard to say what is best.
i play on a tama starclassic maple set. i consider them one of the better sets out there. dw, pearl, tama, gretsch, yamaha, all make some nice sets. so its really up to you!
